Sunday friendly cricket is an important
part of our local cricketing heritage and Sarisbury Athletic is
proud to support this declining tradition. We field two teams nearly
every Sunday, with a few exceptions.
Friendlies are a great opportunity for those who have been away
from the game for some time to get back involved and for youngsters
to get a taste of senior cricket without the pressure of a league
environment.
We also play a number of prestige games against our select Presidents
XI and the Mayor of Fareham's XI. We also host the occasional touring
side midweek.
The captains in 2011 are Tom Clark and Chris Oliphant.
NOTE: unless advised otherwise,
please assume that all Sunday friendlies played at The Hollow will
be on the ARTIFICIAL STRIP so no spikes please.
