What is Fantasy S.A.C.C.?

SACC Fantasy Cricket is a fun way to take part in the club's league campaign, a friendly competition with prizes at the end of the season. Each participant chooses 11 Sarisbury Athletic players who they think will perform during the coming season. Those players score points depending on how they do, and the teams with the most points at the end of the season will win prizes!

How Much Does It Cost?

There is a £10 entry fee for each team entered, this covers the whole fantasy season. This will go towards the prizes and club funds.

How do I register?

All teams must be returned to Matt Journeaux, either in person or by email*, by 12pm on Saturday 21st May 2011 with the entry fee of £10.00. All Saturday League matches from this date onwards count.

* Email teams to the Webmaster at webmaster@moosepig.net and they will be checked andforwarded to Matt. Remember to include your name and your team's name in the email along with the player details.

How Does It Work?

Each player is assigned a value, in millions of pounds. Participants in SACC Fantasy League must choose 11 players up to a MAXIMUM value of £85 million from the list of players (see Players & Prices link on the left) . Every Saturday any player selected for a Hampshire or Southern league side can score points for their managers' teams through batting, bowling and fielding achievements.

Players are sorted into 4 categories: Batsmen, Bowlers, Young Stars and Wicket Keepers. Teams must consist of AT LEAST 2 Young Stars, AT LEAST 1 Wicket Keeper, AT LEAST 3 Batsmen (max. 5), AT LEAST 3 Bowlers (max. 5).

How do players score points?

NB: SUBSTITUTE FIELDERS DO NOT SCORE POINTS.

APPEARANCE POINTS (all players)

•  A Hampshire Cricket League or SEPCL appearance scores 5 points

CATCHING POINTS (all players except 'keepers)

•  All catches taken in the outfield score 10 points

BATTING POINTS (all players)

•  Every run scored by any player scores 1 point
•  25 point bonus for a half century; 50 point bonus for a century
•  A duck scores MINUS 10 points

BOWLING POINTS (all players)

•  Every wicket taken scores 20 points
•  25 point bonus for 4 wickets; 40 point bonus for 5 or more wickets
•  Every maiden over bowled scores a bonus of 5 points.
•  Going for more than 50 runs in a match scores MINUS 10 points.

WICKET KEEPING POINTS ('keepers only)

•  Every catch taken scores 15 points
•  Every successful stumping scores 15 points

NOTE: No points are gained from matches where no result is reached, regardless of League policy on stats.

Are Transfers Allowed?

Not normally, no! Choose your team very carefully! However, to cater for players dropping out before they have played any games the following rule has been added: You may swap a player at any time for a player of the same or lesser value provided your original player has not scored any points on the fantasy league. Your team must still meet the minimum players requirement from each category.

Can I enter more than one team?

YES! You can enter as many teams as you wish. Each entry will cost £10.

How will I know how my team is doing?

Matt will be posting league tables on the noticeboard at the Clubhouse periodically, also watch this space for stats and fantasy league tables as we will put them up on the website whenever we can. We will try to update the website weekly throughout the season.
